Use one of my open source projects? Does it save you time (and money) on your development? Want to help out? Here's a few options.
Design Work
See this page? Looks fairly lame, huh? It's about the limit of my design skills. I could use some help designing things such as:
- A logo for the Pulse Particle system.
- A button others could post on their sites to promote it.
- A logo for the ObjectHandles library.
- A general rogue-development logo for the tops of my pages.
Promotion
- Help get the word out
- Tell colleagues or friends about these projects.
- Blog about them.
- Link to them from your website.
Documentation
I desperately need help with documentation. Consider doing things like
- Writing a tutorial on how to use one of my open source projects.
- Recording video tutorials on how to use them.
- Send me links to examples that use them so others can see what's possible.
Bug Reporting
Help me out by reporting any bugs you find. Sending fixes is even better!
Development
Object handles is fairly mature and can easily handle code patches from other people. So fix bugs, add features, improve performance and send it in.
Pulse Particles is also ready for any changes you'd like to send in.
Please license any changes under the MIT license so it's easy for me to integrate.
Financial Contributions
Consider donating some cash to help further development.
I can do PayPal as well, but that's a pain for me. Email me if you prefer that.
Disclaimer: Donations can't guarentee I'll implement your request. But they will help movitvate me to work more on these projects in general. I'm not a non-profit so you likely can not write these donations off your U.S. taxes.
I could use a license for Captivate, Camtasia, or some other screen recording software for OSX. (Actually, this is less important now, I've been pretty happey with SnapzPro )
Help my non-free project out.
My free time is split between my open source projects, and AgileAgenda. I could really use some help with QA on that project since I know there's a bunch of bugs I just don't know about yet. Finding bugs, and then finding reproducible steps to make them happen (sample data files are great!) can really save me a lot of time there and give me more time to work on the Open Source projects.
Or consider buying a copy of AgileAgenda.
